Jacqueline Gandubert Jacqueline Gandubert's training was marked by the acquisition of excellent skills in different techniques: china paint, painting in oil, and pastel. During her years in Paris (1971-1974), she became acquainted with the works of the great masters. In the end, she settled on painting with water colours, of which she became a master. "The landscapes of Jacqueline Gandubert catch one's eye with their vibrant presence. The subtle colourings of a provencal house are astonishing. Also, the simplified form of trees show how important the essential is to the artist. Almost daring the leap into abstraction, some of her aquarelles are on the verge of displaying no subject. But little by litte, the latter resurfaces - as if nature was an immutable sovereign." Jacques Biolley
